NURSING


Graduates of nursing programs are in high demand in North Dakota and throughout the United States. Bismarck State College collaborates with other state colleges to offer several study options. Students can enter the workforce with a one-year certificate, two-year Associate in Applied Science or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Dakota Nursing Program
This program provides students with basic nursing skills as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or advanced training as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).

Nursing Transfer
Students in this program follow a registered nurse curriculum with the goal of transferring to a four-year institution. Curriculum includes core science and general education courses.

Transfer to Medcenter One College of Nursing
This program provides advanced classroom and clinical experience. Graduates receive a bachelor's degree and are eligible to write the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Examination.
