Welcome to the Great Plains Energy Expo!
Dear Friends,
It seems like almost every day we hear something new about North Dakota's growing energy sector. From fossil fuels to renewable energy, it's an exciting time in our state for those interested in energy.
That's why I'm co-hosting with Bismarck State College and Kadrmas Lee & Jackson the second annual Great Plains Energy Expo and Showcase on November 10th and 11th at the Bismarck Civic Center's Exhibition Hall. This world-class event will feature nationally recognized speakers and researchers, including domestic energy advocate T. Boone Pickens and directors from two of our nation's top energy research labs. There will also be timely workshop presentations as well as dozens of energy-related exhibitors with valuable information to share.
In 2005, I announced an initiative called the "Great Plains Energy Corridor" aimed at promoting the potential America's Heartland has to help with our country's energy woes as we are dangerously dependent on foreign sources of energy. The upcoming Great Plains Energy Expo and Showcase is a part of furthering this important initiative.
If you are interested in North Dakota's growing energy industry, join me on November 10th and 11th at the Bismarck Civic Center's Exhibition Hall. There will definitely be many things to learn and share!
More information about the keynote speakers, workshop presenters, and event registration can be found on this Web site or you can call 1-877-846-9387.
Sincerely,
Byron L. Dorgan
U.S. Senator
